Screen protector brands: what you get from each one

Most tempered glass is similar glass. The differences between brands are the warranty, the installation tool and which phones they cut for. Here is each brand on those terms, with products confirmed as sold in the United States.

The short answer. There is no single best brand, but there is a best brand for what you care about. Belkin and ZAGG sell on replacement: each lists a limited lifetime warranty. Spigen sells on its EZ Fit alignment tray, two-packs and wide model coverage. PanzerGlass is the premium European option. ESR, amFilm, JETech, Ailun and Supershieldz sell multipacks, so a cracked protector costs you a spare rather than a new purchase. Whichever you choose, buy the cut for your exact model.

“Confirmed here” counts this brand’s products we checked as sold on Amazon.com (21 September 2026). A low number means our sample is small, not that the brand is weak.

Premium or budget

What a premium brand actually buys you

Premium and budget protectors are usually both 9H tempered glass (and 9H is a pencil-hardness rating, not Mohs). What the extra money buys is mostly around the glass:

Budget multipacks give up the warranty and sometimes the tray, but you get two or three protectors, so a crack costs you a spare rather than a new purchase.

In detail

What the big brands state

Spigen

Spigen’s EZ Fit packs come with an “auto-alignment installation tray”, and Spigen says they have an oleophobic coating. The iPhone 17e pack contains two protectors. One EZ Fit listing covers the iPhone 18 Pro, 17 Pro, 17 and 16 Pro together. Spigen’s written warranty is a 2-year limited warranty that excludes drops and failed installations. It covers purchases from Spigen.com and Amazon listings sold by Spigen Inc.

Belkin

Belkin states UltraGlass 2 is 0.29 mm thin and “up to 25x stronger than traditional glass” (its figure, from third-party force tests), with “up to 7.2ft/2.2m” of drop protection from its own marble drop tests. The pack includes an Easy Align tray, a dust-removal sticker and a cleaning cloth, and the glass has anti-fingerprint and antimicrobial treatments. Belkin lists a limited lifetime warranty with replacement. Apple also sells UltraGlass 2 in its own store.

ZAGG

ZAGG says device-specific InvisibleShield products carry a limited lifetime warranty against wear and damage for the life of the device they were bought for. Claims need registration at zagg.com, and ZAGG may ask for a card and the damaged protector. ZAGG protectors bought at Best Buy can be replaced in store with proof of purchase.

PanzerGlass

PanzerGlass is a Danish brand. Its current iPhone listings are sold as “Ultra-Wide Fit” with an EasyAligner or FASTFIT installation tool, and some lines carry a limited lifetime warranty (PanzerGlass lists which).

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the best screen protector brand?

It depends on what you value. Belkin and ZAGG list limited lifetime warranties; Spigen is known for its EZ Fit alignment tray and two-packs; budget brands such as Ailun, JETech and Supershieldz sell multipacks. The protector cut for your exact model matters more than the logo.

Are expensive screen protectors better?

Not necessarily as glass. Premium brands mainly add replacement warranties, better installation tools and coatings. Strength figures such as “25x stronger” are the brand’s own comparisons.

Is Belkin or Spigen better?

Belkin UltraGlass 2 is thin (0.29 mm stated) and sold with a limited lifetime warranty; Spigen EZ Fit packs come with two protectors and an auto-alignment tray, under a 2-year limited warranty that excludes drops. See our Belkin vs Spigen comparison.

Does ZAGG replace broken screen protectors?

ZAGG says device-specific InvisibleShield products have a limited lifetime warranty for the life of the device, after you register the product at zagg.com. It may ask for a card and the damaged protector.
