Galaxy S25 Ultra — Samsung Official Tempered Glass

The Galaxy S25 Ultra is a $1,299 phone with a 6.9-inch curved-edge AMOLED display, a titanium frame, and the latest version of Samsung's ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor. Two things matter when you choose a protector: the curve, and the sensor. Cheap flat tempered glass simply does not work on a curved Galaxy display — within weeks the edges lift, dust gets underneath, and the protector becomes a peeling annoyance. And aftermarket glass thicker than about 0.3mm will cause the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor to misread roughly one time in three.

Samsung's own official tempered glass is the safest, simplest answer. It is calibrated for the exact dimensions of the curved screen, the precise thickness tolerance of the fingerprint sensor, and the new Gorilla Armor 2 surface — and it ships with proper installation tools. The single-pack is around $27 on Amazon, which is noticeably more than aftermarket options, but it is also the only protector we recommend without a caveat for this phone. After eighteen months of testing, ours still sits flat on the screen and the fingerprint sensor still works on every read.

If you want the absolute best edge-to-edge coverage and you are willing to risk a one-shot installation, Whitestone Dome Glass is the gold standard. Its UV-cured liquid optical adhesive flows under the glass and fills every microscopic gap with the curved display, then cures under the included UV lamp in about three minutes. The result is true edge-to-edge bonding that no other product matches. The catch: if dust gets trapped under the liquid before it cures, you start over with a new kit. Not for the impatient. Worth it on a $1,299 phone you plan to keep for three years.

Galaxy S25+ — Spigen GlasTR EZ Fit

The Galaxy S25+ (US price $999) shares the Ultra's premium chip and feature set scaled down to a flat 6.7-inch display. The flat screen makes life much easier on the protector side — you can use proper flat tempered glass without the lifting-edge problem. Spigen GlasTR EZ Fit is our top pick here. Two-pack for around $14, alignment frame included, verified compatible with the under-display fingerprint sensor. We installed one on a brand new S25+ in under sixty seconds, no bubbles, no dust, perfect fit. Eighteen months later it still looks new.

If you want the convenience of buying official Samsung product, Samsung sells a tempered glass for the S25+ at around $25 — same calibration story as the Ultra version, but at this price tier the value gap relative to Spigen widens. Most S25+ owners will be better served by the Spigen two-pack.

Galaxy S25 — Spigen GlasTR EZ Fit

The standard Galaxy S25 at $799 has a flat 6.2-inch display — the most protector-friendly geometry in the S25 lineup. Spigen GlasTR EZ Fit at $14 for a two-pack is, frankly, all you need. Alignment frame, 9H glass, oleophobic coating, fingerprint-sensor-verified compatibility, case-friendly recessed edges. Install one, keep the spare in your drawer for the day you crack it.

ESR Armorite is the alternative if you want extra impact protection — the lithium-aluminosilicate substrate (same chemistry as Corning Gorilla Glass) resists corner chipping noticeably better than typical 9H tempered. Around $11 for a 2-pack. Worth it if your S25 lives a rougher life than average — kids, construction, outdoor work.

Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra

The Galaxy S24 lineup remains hugely popular — these phones are now widely available used or as carrier-discounted "free with line" deals on Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T promotions. The S24 Ultra still has a curved display (Samsung went back to flat with the S25 Ultra, but the S24 Ultra retained curves), so the same considerations as the S25 Ultra apply: Samsung Official is the safest bet, Whitestone Dome is the gold standard if you have the patience. The S24 and S24+ are flat displays, so Spigen GlasTR EZ Fit works perfectly and remains $13-15 on Amazon.

Inventory for the S24 series is robust across all major brands and we expect that to continue through 2027. If you have an S24 Ultra and you're shopping aftermarket, the dedicated Galaxy S24 Ultra SKU from Spigen, ESR, or Whitestone is what to buy — not the generic "Galaxy S Ultra" listings that try to cover multiple generations.

Galaxy Z Fold 6 — Cover Display protection

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is a $1,899 phone with two displays you need to think about separately. The inner folding screen — the large 7.6-inch tablet display — ships from Samsung with a factory-applied flexible polymer protector. Samsung's official guidance is clear: do not remove it. It's part of the screen architecture, and replacement is a service operation handled only by Samsung's authorized network. If yours starts lifting or bubbling, contact Samsung Care+. Do not try to apply a third-party protector to the inner screen. We have seen too many cases of permanent damage.

The outer Cover Display (6.3 inches when folded) is where you have real choices. This is a normal glass screen with the standard Gorilla Glass treatment. Spigen makes a Z Fold 6 Cover Display tempered glass — fits the narrow display profile correctly, around $15. Whitestone Premium Tempered Glass for Z Fold 6 is the higher-end option at around $25, with the same Whitestone-quality dome installation principle scaled to the Cover Display dimensions. Either is good.

Galaxy Z Flip 6 — Cover Display + main panel

The Z Flip 6 ($1,099) follows the same logic as the Fold: factory-applied inner-screen polymer (do not replace yourself, contact Samsung) and a small external Cover Display (3.4 inches on the Flip 6) that is normal glass and takes a normal screen protector. The Cover Display is small, which makes it cheap to protect — Spigen's Z Flip 6 Cover Display tempered glass is around $10 and gives you 2 or 3 protectors per pack. ESR and Whitestone also produce Z Flip 6 SKUs.

One specific note for Flip owners: the Cover Display is the screen most likely to take an impact on a Flip because of how the phone sits when closed (often glass-down on tables, in cup holders, etc.). A protector here is worth more than it would be on the equivalent area of a slab phone. Spend the $10.

Galaxy A-series — Spigen GlasTR EZ Fit or amFilm 3-pack

The Galaxy A-series is Samsung's mid-range, popular through carrier promotions on T-Mobile, Cricket, Metro, and Verizon prepaid lines. The A55 ($449), A35 ($399), and A15 ($199) all use flat 6.5-6.7 inch displays with optical (not ultrasonic) under-display fingerprint sensors. Two things follow: (1) flat tempered glass works perfectly, no curved-screen workaround needed, and (2) the optical fingerprint sensor is far more tolerant of protector thickness than the ultrasonic version on the S series — basically any quality glass will work.

Spigen GlasTR EZ Fit for A55 and A35 is the right pick at $13 for two — same quality as Spigen's Pro-tier glass at half the price. For households equipping multiple A-series phones (parent + teen + grandparent all on the same plan), amFilm 3-pack at around $8 is the value play. Don't pay for Samsung Official on A-series — the premium isn't justified.

Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra

The S23 Ultra is the last Galaxy with what we'd call a heavily curved screen (the S24 Ultra slightly reduced curvature, the S25 Ultra went flat). For S23 Ultra owners, the curved-screen rules apply: Samsung Official tempered glass is the safest bet, Whitestone Dome Glass is the premium option, and aftermarket flat glass will give you peeling-edge problems. Inventory is still strong on Amazon for all three options.

Galaxy S22, S22+, S22 Ultra — and older

The Galaxy S22 series remains in service for many users who bought into the era of free-with-line carrier deals in 2022-2023. The S22 Ultra is curved-screen (Samsung Official or Whitestone), the S22 and S22+ are flat (Spigen or amFilm). For older Galaxy phones — S21, S20, Note 20 — amFilm and JETech still produce SKUs at value pricing. Less than $10 for a 3-pack covers a household for a year.

If you have an older Note (Note 20 Ultra, Note 10+), look for SKUs that specifically support the S Pen cutout and the under-display sensor of that generation. Generic listings will not work properly.
