Screen-Protectors.com first registered its domain in 2003. We've been writing about, comparing, and ranking screen protection ever since โ across every form factor from the original Nokia Communicator and Palm Treo to today's foldable Galaxy Z series. Here's how we work, what we will and won't do, and what you can trust on every page of this site.
Screen-Protectors.com is the international flagship of a small group of independent review sites focused entirely on screen protection. The group operates in ten markets โ the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Poland and Sweden โ with each regional site tailored to the products, prices and devices actually available in that country, not a machine-translated US page.
The flagship domain has been continuously held by the same operator group since registration in 2003, which makes it one of the oldest dedicated screen-protection resources on the web. Our sister sites include ScreenProtector.co.uk โ the UK's most-cited consumer resource in the category โ and CustomScreenProtectors.com, which serves the business and bulk market.
We publish independent, regularly-updated reviews and rankings of the screen protectors actually worth buying. We don't sell our own protectors. We don't run sponsored content. We don't accept payment of any kind for placement in our Top 10. The only commercial relationship we have with manufacturers is the same one any retail customer has: we research or sample their products, we form an honest editorial opinion, and we link readers to the best place to buy what we recommend (which is, in nearly every case, Amazon).
The site is funded entirely by affiliate commissions. When a reader follows a link from Screen-Protectors.com to Amazon and purchases a product โ any product, not just the one we linked โ Amazon pays us a small percentage of the order. The reader pays nothing extra. We are a participant in the Amazon EU Associates Programme (UK) and equivalent programmes operated by Amazon in every country we serve. Our full affiliate disclosure lays out exactly how this works.
Commissions never influence rankings. We document this rigorously in our editorial policy: every Top 10 position is decided before commercial considerations enter the conversation. We turn down sponsored placements. We do not accept "rank boosters" or "review packages" pitched by manufacturers or PR agencies, and we never have.
Every screen protector on this site is judged against four criteria, weighted equally:
We also weigh real-world considerations that don't fit neatly into a score: compatibility with in-display fingerprint sensors, Face ID, the Dynamic Island, the Action Button, MagSafe cases, the specific curves of Galaxy edge displays, and the unique demands of foldables. Where a product fails a critical compatibility test for a popular device, it cannot reach our Top 10 โ regardless of how good it is on other metrics.
We aim to meet or exceed the editorial standards expected of UK consumer media. Specifically:
Every regional site on Screen-Protectors.com is written for the actual market, not adapted from a US master. Our UK edition uses British spelling and references โ Tube, Pro Max prices in pounds, ASA and CMA standards, EE and Vodafone retail availability. Our German edition is written in German by people who shop on Amazon.de. Our Polish edition recognises that Xiaomi has roughly twice the market share it does in the US. Pricing, product availability, shipping times, and consumer-protection law (e.g., the UK's six-year statutory limitation period for goods) are baked into how we frame recommendations on each regional site.
Phones and tablets launch constantly. Screen protector formulations evolve. New brands enter the market and old ones change hands. We update our rankings at least quarterly, and immediately when a major device launch (iPhone, Galaxy S, Pixel) shifts the landscape. If you spot an error โ outdated pricing, broken link, factual mistake in a product description โ please tell us. Corrections are issued visibly, with a dated note.
Feedback, corrections, partnership enquiries (editorial only โ we don't accept paid placements), and press contacts: use our contact page. We read everything. We respond to most of it.
